  • Dr. Simon Wylie

    Prosthodontics, BDSc, MDSc. , FRACDS

    Dr. Simon Wylie studied at the University of Melbourne both undergraduate and post-graduate degrees, before accomplishing his Masters of Dental Science. Simon then went on to complete two years as an Assistant Professor role at the University of Alberta, Canada. Simon has been active as an instructor at the University of Melbourne in the Specialist Prosthodontics education program for most of his career. Simon has contributed to continuing education programs at a national and international level. Simon is also a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. Simon established private practices in Geelong and Melbourne and has spent the majority of his career in private practice.

  • Dr. Bevan Chong

    Prosthodontist BDS, DClinDent(Pros), MRACDS(Pros), MRACDS(PDS), FAANZP

    Bevan completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Otago, New Zealand in 2005. After several years in public and private practice in New Zealand and Australia, Bevan pursued his specialist prosthodontic training at the University of Sydney, receiving his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Prosthodontics) in 2013. He was also awarded membership of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in Prosthodontics.

    Bevan has been involved in teaching prosthodontics at undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the University of Sydney. He was a specialist clinical educator and a member of the Planning Committee for the Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Prosthodontics). He also maintained a specialist position at Westmead Hospital. He continues to be involved in prosthodontic education as a clinical supervisor at the University of Melbourne.

    Bevan is an invited reviewer for the International Journal of Prosthodontics. He is a member of the International College of Prosthodontists, Australian Prosthodontic Society, Academy of Australian and New Zealand Prosthodontists, New Zealand Dental Association and Australian Dental Association.

  • Dr. Graham Woolley

    BChD. MMedSci. MDSc. Grad Dip Clin Dent. MRACDS(Pros)

    Associate Professor Graham Woolley has accumulated a wide range of experience in specialist prosthodontics, over the last 30 years. He trained in the UK, USA, and New Zealand, before coming to Australia to complete his specialist prosthodontic qualifications in Melbourne, in 2002.

    Graham has worked in many different environments: specialist private practices, dental hospitals, universities and for the Australian Defence Force and the New Zealand Defence Force. Each workplace has added experience of a different facet of prosthodontics. As Senior Lecturer at the University of Melbourne School of Dental Science, Graham twice won the Eggleston Trust Prize for Excellence in Teaching. He was also awarded specialist Membership of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (Prosthodontics) in 2011.

    Graham is currently Associate Professor of Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics at the University of La Trobe, Bendigo. He presents over 40 lectures per year for the La Trobe Dental School, the Australian Dental Association and various other prosthodontic societies and study groups around Victoria. He also makes instructional videos for dentists and dental students.

    Graham's teaching is based on the practical knowledge gained from continually striving for excellence, in specialist practices and clinics, for the past 20 years, up to the present day.

  • Emma Sheppard

    BOH – Dental Hygienist

    Emma grew up in Queensland before moving to Victoria to complete her studies at The University of Melbourne. She has always been passionate about helping others and found she was drawn towards gum disease treatment and management. Emma has worked in general practices in Melbourne and Geelong, as well as specialist periodontal practice where she focused on implant care and maintenance.

    Known for her gentle and caring approach to treatment, Emma works with you to overcome any concerns you may have. Her patients are left feeling at ease and are filled with confidence knowing the level of care they receive.

    Coming on board with The Prosthodontic Group, Emma is looking forward to a new challenge in helping support Dr Simon Wylie. She hopes to be able to motivate and educate her patients to ensure gum health is pristine to complement their prosthodontic treatment.

  • Dr. Gidon Fixler

    Dr. Gidon Fixler

    Dr Fixler completed his Masters of Dentistry at LaTrobe University in 2017, graduating dux of his class. Gidon subsequently completed his Primary Examinations for the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS) in 2018. Dr Fixler developed his clinical skills in Private practice in Ballarat and South-East Melbourne before commencing his specialist training in Prosthodontics at the University of Melbourne in 2021. Gidon enjoys all aspects of prosthodontics, however, he has a particular interest in digital removable and fixed prosthodontic workflows.

    Dr Fixler is also actively involved with continuing education and lectures regularly on a national level. Gidon is a demonstrator in fixed prosthodontics at the University of Melbourne and LaTrobe University. In addition, he is a committee member for the Australian Prosthodontic Society (Victorian branch). When he is not in clinical practice or teaching, Dr Fixler is an avid rock climber.”
